The Process in Full
-
Select the frame size you want your flowers displayed in. We recommend our 16x20 frame for wedding bouquets. Our 11x14 is a small, simple nod to your day, but is also lovely displayed as a pair or trio (if your bouquet is large enough to fill two/three frames). The 8x10 is unfortunately too small for a full bouquet preservation, but is a great add on as a gift for someone involved in your day or boutonniere preservation.
Pick which backing style you want - float frame (glass on glass) or white backing. Each adds a little something different :) Pick your frame of choice from these selections and then proceed as the booking prompts you.
-
Once inquiry is fulfilled and you have pick your frame(s), complete the terms of service form and invoice.
We can accept orders up to four days after your event, but we recommend reserving your spot at least 2-3 months in advance so you can plan all of the arrangements of getting your frame to us. BUT we understand seeing your flowers on your special day and having the gut wrenching feeling of them going into the trash. That is why we are here!
-
Once you purchase your frame, we will send you shipping/drop off instructions, depending on the option you chose. Drop off is in Greenville, SC. If you cannot drop your flowers off, we recommend the shipping option. Please budget shipping your flowers our way, depending on where they are coming from and what carrier, prices may vary. This cost is not included in the purchase of your frame.
Before mailing or dropping them off, make sure to keep them in a cool place or in water with fresh cut stems. We recommend we receive your flowers no more than 3 days after your event for your flowers to be in the best condition possible. They are usually workable within the week. We take a picture of your flowers, in the condition that they are in upon arrival, before they head into the press.
-
The magic begins! We handle and press each flower with individual care and the attention it requires. The deconstruction process can take up to three hours per bouquet. We check the presses throughout the first week to make sure everything is pressing nicely and change out the paper on certain flowers, if needed. The preservation process can be up 4-6 weeks.
-
Once your flowers have been pressed and are fully preserved, it is time for reconstruction. Before designing your frame, we reconstruct certain flowers that had to be disassembled to be pressed.
When the flowers are reconstructed, designing begins! We arrange our frames in a modern, airy, and minimal manner. While our pieces are a nod to your special day, they are not overtly “wedding bouquet” when hung in your home.
After designed, we glue them to your preferred backing. Once dried, your frame is assembled and sealed to hang in your home as a unique reminder for years to come.
-
The process as a whole will take up to 15-18 weeks. While this may seem like a long time, it is a slow, patient, and meticulous process. We promise it is worth the wait!
We will notify you once your frame is complete. We will then send your finished frame to you or we will reach out that it is time to pick your frame up.
-
Enjoy your frame!
We hope it adds a special touch into your home with a sweet nod to your day.
